Cantonment is an area of Tiruchirapalli, also known as the Trichinopoly Cantonment. Tiruchirapalli Cantonment is a residential neighbourhood. The cantonment was established in the 18th Century, as a part of Madras Regiment. The area is surrounded by many restaurants, hotels, along with the post office and tourist office. The Tiruchirapalli Railway Junction is situated in the area.

New Selva Nagar, Melapudur, Beema Nagar and Raja Colony are some of the neighbouring areas to Cantonment. The Tiruchirapalli International Airport is 7.2 kilometres from here along the NH 210.
