Mapusa (pronounced as Mapsa) is a town in north Goa, 13 kilometres away from the capital Panaji. It is the administrative headquarters of the Bardez Taluka and the biggest town of northern Goa. Mapusa is located near to the NH 17, which connects Kochi to Mumbai.
